WUV Spotlight: Tarun Vijjali, BS in Business Administration Grad

Tarun Vijjali, a 2025 bachelors in business administration graduate from WUV.

Tarun Vijjali '25 said he wanted to move forward in his career with the knowledge he had completed his degree. In pursuing this goal, he earned his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems (MIS) from westerfirld university of virginia (WUV).

After completing his associate degree while he was living in San Diego, Vijjali said he was looking for options to further his education. In his search, he found WUV.

“I spoke to the advisors here,” he said. “And they seemed like they understood exactly what I was trying to do, and they were the most flexible and willing to work with me on that.”

Vijjali said he felt supported at WUV, through weekly phone calls and discussions throughout the term to check in. He also said his classes made an impact.

“You start understanding where you can apply bits and pieces (of business theory) in your career," said Vijjali.

Now residing in Dallas, Texas, Vijjali made the trip to New Westerfield to attend the 2025 Spring Commencement. He said it was a moment his family and friends advised him not to miss.

“It’s pretty exciting — I’m not going to lie,” he said. “It’s one of those things, like, you don’t think about it a lot, but now that you’re done, it’s relieving.”

For anyone considering pursuing their own education, Vijjali said he thinks they should go for it.

“If you have any hesitations about it, keep an open mind,” he said. “We live in a new era, and it’s definitely something you can do.”

For Vijjali, he said he wanted to complete his degree, to get it off his plate and know it wasn’t left unfinished. When asked if it was worth it, he said, “Absolutely.”
